Pinehill School on the north shore say every building in the school is plagued with leaks.
The result is years of recladding, demolishing and rebuilding says the principal Julien Le Sueur.
A Education Ministry survey have revealed around 20 percent of New Zealand schools have so far fallen victim to the epidemic, with a further 907 schools yet to be assessed.
With over $15 million spent on repairs so far, the government has estimated another $1.1 billion will be needed.
